Brighton Gallery House transformed the way Anna, Nick and their three children now live in and enjoy their home. While they loved the location and garden, the existing house was a series of dark and disconnected rooms that didn’t support family life or entertaining and neither had enough wall space for their extensive art collection.

The project opened the home to light and landscape, creating a generous kitchen, dining area and sunken living room that connect directly to the backyard and pool beyond. The former kitchen, once located at the centre of the home, was reimagined as a dedicated gallery space where artwork could become part of everyday life.

New private spaces for both parents and children brought greater flexibility to the home, while a mature row of Capital Pear trees was retained, preserving a sense of familiarity and continuity. Rather than changing what Anna and Nick loved about their home, the project strengthened it, creating a place that feels brighter, more connected and deeply reflective of the people who live there.
